Duration of data storage

If this data privacy statement does not specify a duration for data storage, we will keep your personal data until the purpose for which it is kept no longer applies. If you assert a justified right for your data to be deleted or withdraw your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted if we have no legal grounds for storing it (e.g. storage limitations under commercial or tax law); in the latter case, your data will be deleted once these grounds no longer apply.

Note on data transfer to the USA and other third countries

Some of the tools we use are from companies headquartered in the USA or other third countries where data privacy is not protected. If these tools are activated, your personal data may be transferred to these third countries and processed there. We call your attention to the fact that in those countries no level of data protection comparable with that in the EU can be guaranteed. For example, US companies are obliged to release personal data to the security services, against which the data subject has no recourse to legal action. The possibility cannot therefore be excluded that US authorities (e.g. the intelligence services) process, evaluate and permanently store your personal data located on US services for monitoring purposes. We have no influence over these processing activities.

Withdrawal of consent to data processing

Many data processing procedures are only possible with your explicit consent. You are entitled to withdraw given consent at any time. This does not affect the legality of the data processing performed prior to the withdrawal of consent.

Right of withdrawal of consent to data collection in special cases and to direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)

If the data processing is based on points (e) or (f) of Article 6 (1) of the GDPR, you are entitled to object to the processing of your personal data for reasons relating to your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. The respective legal bases on which data is processed can be found in this privacy statement. If you lodge an objection, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate reasons for doing so which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims (objection pursuant to Art 21 (1) GDPR).

If your personal data is processed for the purpose of direct marketing, you have the right to object to at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for such marketing; this also includes profiling insofar that it is related to such direct marketing. If you object, your personal data will subsequently not be used for the purposes of direct marketing (objection pursuant to Art 21 (2) GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent authorities

In the event of violation of the GDPR, data subjects are entitled to lodge a complaint with the competent authority, especially in the member state where they are usually resident or work, or where the presumed violation took place. The right to lodge a complaint does not affect other administrative or statutory rights.

Right to data portability

You are entitled to receive data that we process automatically, either with your consent or in fulfilment of a contract, in a commonly used, machine-readable format either personally or via a third person. If you request that the data should be transmitted directly to another data controller, this will only be done if it is technically feasible.

SSL or TLS- encryption

This webpage uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect transmitted confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operators. You can recognise that a secure connection has been established when the address line of the browser switches from “http://” to “https://” and the padlock symbol appears.

When SSL or TLS encryption is enabled, data that you are transmitting to us cannot be seen by third parties.

Information, deletion and notification

Under current legislation, you are entitled, at no charge, to obtain information about the stored personal data concerning you, where it came from, who receives it and for what purpose it is processed, and to request that the data be corrected or deleted. To do so, or if you have further questions about your personal data, feel free to contact us.

Right to restriction of processing

You are entitled to demand restrictions on the processing of your personal data. You can contact us about this at any time. The right to restrict data processing applies in the following cases:

  • If you contest the accuracy of your personal data that is stored with us, we will usually need time to check it. While we are checking this, you are entitled to demand restrictions on the processing of your personal data.
  • If your personal data has been or is being processed unlawfully, instead of deletion you can request the restriction of data processing.
  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you are entitled to request a restriction of the processing of your data rather than its deletion.
  • If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21 (1) GDPR, your and our interests have to be weighed against one another. You are entitled to demand restrictions on the processing of your personal data until it is decided whose interests outweigh the other’s.

If you restrict the processing of your personal data, that data – with the exception of storage – may only be processed with your consent or in order to assert, exercise or defend legal claims or to protect the rights of another natural or legal person, or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or one of its member states.

Objection to advertising emails

This is an objection to the use of contact data published in the context of legal notices for the sending of unsolicited advertising and information. The website operators reserve the express right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, such as spam emails.

If you have been asked to consent to cookies, the respective cookies will be stored solely on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 (1 a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time.

You can set your browser to inform you when cookies are being put on your computer so that you can allow them only exceptionally, under specific circumstances or never. You can also enable the automatic deletion of cookies when you close your browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

If cookies are set by third-party companies or for analytical purposes, we will inform you of this separately in the framework of this privacy statement and if necessary request your consent.

Our website uses the consent technology of Cookie Notice & Compliance for GDPR to obtain your consent to store certain cookies on your device, or to use certain technologies and to document this in compliance with data privacy legislation.

Moreover, your data is stored until you request its deletion, delete the consent cookie yourself, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. This does not affect any compelling legal obligations to store data.

Cookie Notice & Compliance for GDPR is used to obtain the legally required consent to the use of cookies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1 c) GDPR.

In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 (1 f) GDPR), or on your consent (Art. 6 (1 a) GDPR) if this was requested. The data you enter in the contact form remains with us until you ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent to it being stored, or the purpose for which it was stored is no longer valid (e.g. when processing of your enquiry is completed). This does not affect binding legal provisions, notably storage limitations.

When you contact us by email or phone, your enquiry and all the personal data arising from it (name, nature of the enquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purposes of handling your request. We do not pass this data on to others without your consent.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1 b) GDPR if your enquiry is related to the fulfilment of a contract or the execution of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 (1 f) GDPR), or on your consent (Art. 6 (1 a) GDPR) if this was requested.

The data you send us as part of your enquiry remains with us until you ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent to it being stored, or the purpose for which it was stored is no longer valid (e.g. when processing of your enquiry is completed).
